A Recap of the RMC Christmas Party – friday, 22nd november, 2024
The weather wasn’t on our side this year, with heavy downpours during setup and the occasional shower throughout the evening. But true to the RMC spirit, the rain couldn’t dampen our enthusiasm or the festive energy of the night. Guests arrived ready to celebrate, and together we turned a wet evening into a warm and memorable one filled with laughter, great food, and community spirit.
Here’s a look back at the highlights of our 2024 RMC ‘Country Themed’ Christmas Party.
A Nautical Space Turned Outback Country
Our signature nautical office space underwent a charming transformation into a country-inspired setting for the evening. Thoughtfully decorated to embrace the outback theme, the venue struck the perfect balance between festive and relaxed, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Best Dressed
The Best Dressed competition brought out the creativity in our attendees, with fantastic interpretations of the outback theme. The winners were rewarded for their efforts, with prizes including a $1,000 voucher and two $300 vouchers, split between RM Williams and Airbnb. It was a fitting recognition for those who went all out to embrace the spirit of the night.

Fun, Games, and Line Dancing
The RMC Christmas Party made full use of the venue’s unique spaces. The main reception area came alive with “Line Dance with Leah,” where guests gathered to try their hand (and feet!) at line dancing. It was a light-hearted activity that brought everyone together, whether they were seasoned dancers or complete beginners. The laughter and energy in the reception area set the tone for a festive and memorable night.
Meanwhile, the RMC Service Centre, usually dedicated to marine mechanics, took on a new role as a relaxed game zone towards the end of the evening. Guests enjoyed casual rounds of cornhole, horseshoe, and quoits, adding a playful touch to the night’s festivities. While not the main focus, the games provided a fun wind-down for those looking to test their skills and share some laughs.
The combination of spaces and activities highlighted the versatility of the RMC facilities and gave everyone something to enjoy.
Background Entertainment with Kane Maher
Kane Maher provided a fantastic backdrop of live music throughout the evening. His smooth and engaging performance added a warm ambiance to the event, perfectly complementing the festive atmosphere. While it wasn’t a sing-along affair, his presence created an enjoyable soundtrack that kept the night flowing beautifully.
Reflecting Gratitude
The night wasn’t just about fun—it was also an opportunity to give back. At RMC, we believe that hosting an event is a chance to contribute to the community we’re part of. A heartfelt thank you to all the guests who chose to make a donation to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation when sending through their RSVP.
On behalf of RMC, we are proud to announce that the total contributions reached a meaningful $3,715.00 which will be passed on to the Foundation to support their vital work. Your generosity is noticed and valued, and it reminds us of the difference large and small contributions can make when we come together to support a cause.
Wrapping Up a Ripper of a Night
The 2024 RMC Client Christmas Party was a resounding success. From the thoughtfully transformed venue to the delicious food and vibrant entertainment, it was a night to celebrate the strength and spirit of the RMC community.
