The weekend of July 21st to July 23rd marked the second local RMC getaway of the year, and it was nothing short of a memorable experience. With seven Riviera boats in tow, this adventure was filled with relaxation, exploration, and camaraderie. Let’s take a closer look at this delightful weekend that left everyone with a sense of contentment and joy.
Day One: A Serene Cruise to Peel Island, where boats joined together from different departure points such as the Gold Coast, Raby Bay and Cleveland.
The journey began on Friday as the seven Riviera boats embarked on a leisurely cruise towards Peel Island.
As the boats moved into Horseshoe Bay, a sense of calm enveloped the group. The soothing sounds of the sea provided an ideal setting for relaxation.
As lunchtime approached, guests relaxed on their respective boats and enjoyed their lunch while taking in the breathtaking view of the crystal-clear blue water.
Next, friends gathered on Peel Island’s beach for a beautiful afternoon of nibbles, drinks, and company; the sunset created a picture-perfect backdrop for this beachside gathering as the sun dipped below, painting the sky in vibrant hues.

Day Two: Exploring the Local Scene
Saturday dawned, and our RMC guests hopped on the tenders in the late morning and headed over to the Little Ship Club for a quick drink. The Little Ship Club, with its maritime charm and welcoming atmosphere, provided the perfect setting for some light-hearted socializing. Afterwards, it was off to Straddie Brewery Co. for a delightful lunch. The brewery, known for its craft beers and delectable food, did not disappoint. Guests savoured their meals while taking in the picturesque surroundings. The combination of good food, good company, and the stunning Stradbroke Island scenery made for a truly memorable dining experience.
Following a fulfilling lunch, our RMC guests retreated to their Riviera’s for a relaxing afternoon before going over to the new Riviera 505 SUV, ‘Tonic,’ via tender. The afternoon was tranquil, and the back deck of the SUV was an idyllic spot for everyone to mingle. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and easy conversation, making for another special moment during a weekend full of camaraderie and shared experiences.
